With a background in teaching high school students, I have always thoroughly enjoyed running art workshops for adults. My goal is to ensure each participant comes away with new skills, an artwork they are proud to display, and the enthusiasm to keep creating.
From raw beginners to those keen to learn new techniques, my workshops are designed to be both educational and FUN!
NO EXPERIENCE OR TALENT REQUIRED.
My approach to teaching is quite different from most art schools. I use a specific painting as a means to teach you techniques, such as drawing , mixing paints, applying layers, composition, problem solving, applying realistic detail and lots of tips that I have picked up along the way. All of this with step by step instructions in a small class (maximum of twelve students) so you get lots of one on one attention. I demonstrate each step, then you follow my example on your own canvas. This means you can easily learn these techniques even if you have no experience or natural talent. And the bonus is that you get to take home a painting that will impress your family and friends; and be good enough to put straight up on the wall! I’ve been teaching for a long time and I know that teaching SKILLS in an encouraging step by step way……is the key. Your success is very important to me!
